A CO-EDUCATIONAL PREP SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN AGED 4-11
Sport is an important part of life at Hornsby House School, as every child is encouraged to enjoy PE and Games throughout the year. Apart from the six major sports of rugby, netball, football, hockey, cricket and rounders, we provide children with the opportunity to play over twenty other games in after school clubs and PE lessons.
Our dedicated sports staff motivate and encourage the children through their own interest and enthusiasm for sport and pass on their experience and knowledge to those who are already keen on games or inspire and enthuse children who have not been exposed to much sport before coming to Hornsby House and may be playing for the first time. The Sports Department has forged links with some outstanding athletes who have become Sports Ambassadors to Hornsby House and who come in to coach and inspire children.
Children are encouraged to join one of the numerous excellent clubs in the local area that we have established links with, so that they can further their understanding and enjoyment of sport. This development has seen the levels of achievement rise dramatically over the last few years and a widening of our fixture list to challenge our boys and girls even further.
By the time they move on to their secondary schools we hope that every child has found a sport they enjoy and will pursue through the rest of their school life and beyond.
